About Me

I’m a UX professional with years of experience across different disciplines, industries, and products. With a background in Behavioral Psychology, I started my career as a UX Researcher focused on evaluative testing of designs in a fast-paced agile environment. Over time I developed a passion for understanding the entire user’s experience and the value it brings to design at all stages of the product lifecycle. I bring people across disciplines together to achieve a common goal through collaboration with my partners and teammates.

Experience

Researcher

  • My roots have always been in user research. Humans are at the center of what we do and it’s critical that we understand their needs and motivations in order to create impactful experiences.

  • Throughout the years I’ve learned the value of a multi-faceted research approach and the importance of selecting the best methods at the right time. I value a lean and nimble research approach that adapts to changing priorities in order to continuously provide value.

Design Leader

  • In my career, I have led a variety of teams from focused Research teams to large multi-disciplinary Design teams. I have created new teams and inherited large existing teams.

  • The one thing that remains the same is my emphasis on being transparent, communicating measurable goals, driving individual growth and development, and building a culture that is diverse and psychologically safe

Experience Design

  • Recognizing that the user experience doesn’t stop and start within the products we build, it’s important to understand what happens before, during, and after the use of our products.

  • I have experience building out and leveraging experience design tools such as journey maps, Jobs-To-Be-Done methods, Service Blueprints, and collaborative cross-domain workshops to better understand the overall experience.

  • This approach helps to uncover more comprehensive and useful solutions for the users.

Executive Leadership

  • As an experienced leader, I have learned the value of designing as a team. That team includes not just UX, but product, business, technology, and more.

  • Creating a successful experience relies on connecting user problems to business goals and create solutions to solve for both.

  • Design shows up best when it’s involved throughout the product lifecycle and that will only happen if there are close relationships across the teams and an alignment on goals.
